One of the greatest parts about the FLT trips is the opportunity to serve directly under the missionaries and church planters. The missionaries in Germany, along with the iGo staff and your team leaders, will be overseeing you as you learn to lead others. You truly are considered part of their team while you serve in this capacity and will be learning the ins and outs of what it means to reach a city effectively using short-term teams as part of that strategy.
One of your main responsibilities as a member of the FLT (Field Leadership Team) is to help lead other teams. The FLT plays a huge part in leading the many teams that will come to Germany for week-long trips throughout the summer. So in addition to ministering to the nationals, you will also be ministering to the team members you are leading. You'll be preparing for their arrival, mentoring them as they minister, and serving them in ways that ensure they have a great experience while they are there.
On this trip, you will:
At iGo, safety is always a high priority and we take extensive measures to ensure the success of the students on our teams. From registering every student with the embassy, to giving all our leaders training, we do everything in our power to minimize risk and be prepared for any issue that might arise on the field.
The cost for this trip will be approximately $5000* (all inclusive). It covers meals, lodging, airfare, training, in country transportation, travel insurance, etc… everything but souvenirs. We provide all team members with a fundraising guide upon acceptance and other helpful resources.
*Due to the volatility of fuel prices and their effect on travel costs, we can not provide the exact cost until closer to the trip dates.
Jami Lee Gainey is your Trip Coach (iGo staff member who will guide you through the entire process) for this team. She will be your main contact leading up to the trip. This team will also have several youth ministers and other adults traveling and serving alongside the students.
All iGo teams serve under the direct supervision of local church planters, missionaries, and other field staff.
