Jimmy is the name we give to our summer mobilization interns. Jimmy serves alongside the iGo staff as we train and mobilize our summer teams. Helping prepare for and run Base Camp is a big part of the Jimmy role and responsibility. In addition, Jimmy will help us follow up with students interested in iGo opportunities throughout the summer.

Another big role for Jimmy in the summer is leading at our Launch Box week. You will help us plan and prepare for that week, and will get to serve as leaders throughout that week for the youth groups that are participating.

Jimmy is an intense internship focused on developing you as a servant-leader while also helping you grow as a follower of Jesus. You will build community with the other Jimmy as well as with iGo staff and their families throughout the summer.

On top of all that, you are basically iGosian royalty for the rest of your life. Once a Jimmy, always a Jimmy.

Basic Info

Dates – May 29 – July 26, 2024

Pay – $2000 plus expenses (Yes, this is a PAID internship!)

Housing – If you are not from the Rockwall area and cannot secure your own housing for the summer, we will provide a host home. Our host home families are typically families from our church (Crosspoint Community Church) and they love welcoming our Jimmy students into their families for the summer.

Driving -- we do not provide transportation for you for the summer. If you do not have your own car, we can work with you to see if another Jimmy can help you with transportation throughout the summer. We do reimburse you for mileage when you need to drive your own car to Base Camp, Launch Box, or other iGo events.

Office and expectations -- Jimmy meets pretty much daily (Mon-Fri) in our office to work on the different tasks assigned throughout the summer. In addition, we have a storage unit (climate-controlled) that will become another frequent place that you visit and work.

Schedule -- if you need to be away for any portion of the summer, we need to know that before you are selected as a Jimmy.
