The cost of this trip is to be determined. We will post an estimated cost in September. This cost for this trip is likely to be significantly more than the one-week UK Go Students trip. Students who are accepted will receive a packet of information from us, which will include a fundraising booklet that explains the steps of support raising for a trip. It even lists ideas and efforts that students have used in previous years. Students who follow the steps and guidelines in the fundraising packet should have no problem raising the money needed for this trip
The Role of The Church Biblically speaking, people who go out on a missionary journey are always backed by a local community of believers. We do not send students who see themselves as renegades who have set off on their own adventures. We send students who are backed and supported by their local church. This is essential, not just theologically, but practically as well. A lot of the support raising efforts that students engage in should center around their local church, since the church is the biblically prescribed sending agent.
Payments Not all of this money will be due up front. There is a series of payment deadlines between now and the trip. All of the payments that students make throughout the year will be put towards the total cost, which is all inclusive. It covers training, meals, flights, bus rides, train rides, lodging, ministry supplies, travelers insurance, etc. A student could go on this trip without any money in his pockets and make it through the trip with no problems. In other words, the trip cost covers everything, and the only reason a student would want to bring extra money would be for snacks and souvenirs.
